The Burley Public Library is partnering with the Cassia Regional Medical Center and the Cassia County School District to bring you Food, Fit and Fun in the Park 2009, the title for a collaborative summer reading program.

Be Creative @ Your Library! The 2009 Summer Reading theme will be celebrated beginning June 4th and ending July 30th. Programs will be held Thursdays from June 4th to July 9th at Storybook Park, at 10:30 AM, programs run for one hour. Lunch is provided at 11:30 for all children 1 - 18 years of age by the Cassia County School District.

June 18th - Ham It Up!
June 25th - Moving Around
July 2nd - Now You See It
July 9th - Free Play
July 30th - End of Summer Reading Party

Each week, after you meet your reading goal, come into the library and receive some stickers for your reading log and a reading incentive. Sign up in the library or online!

The Burley Public Library is now hosting a monthly Family Film Festival!! Come join us for a fun family time! A different movie will be shown each month on the fourth Monday. Titles shown will include To Kill a Mockingbird, Sleepless in Seattle, Rear Window, White Heat, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Please check the library for the titles to be shown each month. This program is funded in part by the Idaho Humanities Council, a non-profit organization that serves as the state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

$ 1.00 Library Cards for youth living outside the Burley City Limits. These cards are valid all during the months of June, July and August. The $1.00 library card entitles the holder to borrow two items at a time from our Juvenile or Young Adult sections. The card does not have computer privileges. A parent needs to come in with their child, bring an Idaho ID and the child may receive the card.
